Restorative

Dental Care

Restorative dentistry encompasses treating diseases or conditions in the teeth, mouth, gums or jaw.
We offer dental implants, crowns and bridges,  and fillings.

Tooth loss is unfortunately something that millions of people have to deal with every single year. Tooth loss can happen because of decay, gum disease, infection, and trauma to the mouth. Losing teeth can also mean losing self-confidence, because your smile changes dramatically. This is where dental implants can help as an alternative for missing teeth.

Dental implants are an alternative to bridges and crowns. They are synthetic tooth roots that act as replacements for your missing teeth. You can have either permanent, fixed replacement teeth added to them, or you can choose removable replacement teeth. These will look and feel like your real teeth. They also might be better for your oral health as they leave more of your natural teeth intact than bridges do.

This type of cosmetic dentistry involves placing an implant made of titanium in the bone socket where a tooth is missing. The jawbone then grows around the implant as healing takes place, which takes an average of 6-12 weeks. A new tooth (or, if more than one tooth is missing, a denture) is connected with something called an abutment, which attaches to the implant. This is a natural-feeling option for missing teeth.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns and bridges can make a smile that has missing or damaged teeth look and act normal again. These dental treatments restore your teeth’s natural look and strengthen their function. They can help keep your teeth healthy and bright.

Crowns can help strengthen a damaged tooth as well as fix its appearance, especially in regard to alignment and shape. Bridges, on the other hand, literally “bridge” the gap between two teeth (where teeth may be missing). Bridges also stop the remaining teeth from moving into the empty spaces. This, in turn, can prevent tooth decays, misaligned bite, gum disease, or TMJ (jaw joint) disorders.

Crowns are caps that cover the entire tooth. They provide structure and shape. Bridges replace missing teeth. Before you are fitted for crowns or bridges, the teeth they will fit over must be reduced in size. After this is completed, an digital impression of the reduced teeth will be made so the new crown or bridge fits perfectly. These types of restorative dentistry are permanently cemented to your teeth.

Dental crowns can also be created for your in a single appointment.

Even if you and your family maintain good oral hygiene, sometimes tooth decay or other cosmetic issues may appear despite your best efforts. We at Outdoor Dental can take care of these little problems with professional teeth fillings that will help your teeth, mouth, and gums stay healthy and strong.

Regular dental checkups will be sure to catch cavities before they become bigger problems. At Outdoor Dental, we will use teeth fillings to restore your teeth. These white fillings mimic the look of natural tooth structure and bond to the tooth chemically, which restores much of its function.
